Fake NSA Online Backup Site found. I hope.

A few days ago while doing some research I came across a website that made me do a double-take. It’s called “nsabackups.com” and it LOOKS like the real NSA (National Security Agency) website, using the real NSA government seals, but it is advertising an online backup service.

Fake NSA Online Backup siteA whois lookup of the domain name shows a private individual as the contact, so I’m pretty sure the site is a hoax. At least I hope it is. Some links were changed between yesterday and today, so I think it’s under active development.

Poking a fire breathing dragon with a stick is never a good idea. I’m sure this site won’t be around for long. I hope these guys aren’t planning to use RBS software.
