Last quarter’s release of RBackup 2007, version 9.4 of the company’s flagship product, has proven to be an unqualified success, providing a host of new features and functionality including native support for open files, mirroring capabilities that can automatically back up RBS server data to a secondary location, message-level support for live Microsoft Exchange databases, multiple-instance support for live SQL databases and automatic remote updates to the RBackup client software.
To best maintain the positive momentum the company has recently achieved, RBS is doubling of physical space of its international headquarters to keep up with the company’s rapid growth, as well as the doubling its staff of developers and backup support personnel who provide technical assistance to US and international clients. RBS has also appointed two experienced storage executives to director positions, responsible for sales and product development of future versions of RBackup. The two will report directly to RBS CEO Rob Cosgrove.
