White House ordered to back up e-mail

REUTERS – A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order blocking the White House from destroying back-up copies of deleted e-mails.

The order by U.S. District Judge Henry Kennedy came Monday as part of a lawsuit by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a private watchdog group, that claims the White House has failed to preserve millions of deleted e-mails it was supposed to keep.  [more]
